A while back I made a paracord dog collar. The process for is is really simple so I wanted to show you how to make one. It is after all a lot cheaper to make one yourself, not to mention, it looks a ton better than any store bought dog collar.
The collar is made using the solomon bar technique found in many bracelets. The second layer is made the exact same way to produce a design called the double cobra knot or simply king cobra knot. In essence it is a double solomon bar paracord dog collar. Smaller ones make good bracelets as well!
For this paracord project you will need the following items:
- two pieces of paracord, preferably in different colors
- a D-ring or an O-ring to hook the leash onto
- something to cut the cord with
- a lighter to melt the ends
- a buckle. Plastic one is great for smaller dogs, for larger ones a metal one is required.
With those supplies at the ready we can start the paracord dog collar. If you want additional instructions, try my website at http://paracordcentral.org/paracord-projects/paracord-dog-collar-instructions/
I recommend you keep the knots equally tightened to make the collar look the best it can.
As you will see, this is one of the simplest paracord projects you can try!
Now for the actual tutorial:
